Online Video Tips to Build Your Business or Personal Reputation – Interview with Steve Garfield

October 28, 2010 By Linda Sherman 6 Comments

Internet video is a powerful tool you can use to tell your story for your business, your personal reputation or your art. Youtube has become a place where people search to find tutorial, information or stories of interest.

You probably already own a video camera. If you have recently bought a smart phone or a digital camera, it is likely to have video camera functionality built in. You may have even bought a dedicated video camera but are not using it yet. It’s time to take it out of the box!

I had the pleasure of interviewing Steve Garfield, author of Get Seen: Online Video Secrets to Building Your Business. Steve had just given a delightful presentation at BlogWorld Expo in Las Vegas.

Steve advises:
– Start with the camera you have
– Practice
– Be prepared to take advantage of unexpected opportunities to grab a video interview
– Know how to use the controls on your camera so that you won’t fumble when the sudden opportunity arises
– Make sure you have a spare battery and SD card (or tape)
