In this first of two Caregiver Friendly Products episodes recognizing 2025 National Family Caregivers Month, National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month and National Home Care and Hospice Month, we featured four outstanding speakers all of them representing AgeTech Collaborative from AARP portfolio companies. AI elements were highlighted. Cost of care reduction and care enhancement were featured.

Neal Shah introduced CareYaya Health Technologies, a tech-enabled platform connecting vetted pre-med and nursing school students with older adults, reducing care costs and giving students meaningful experience. Neal also covered the necessity of Counterforce Health to help fight claim denials. Ashish Agarwal PhD explained JubileeTV, a TV-based system enhancing family connection and caregiving. JubileeTV recently added a feature to record “moments”. Matt Golden presented Map Habit, a platform helping neurodivergent individuals with daily routines, giving them more independence and reducing the burden on caregivers. Kendra Seavey explained care.coach, offering interactive avatar companions for older adults, addressing loneliness and health needs. Debbie Howard kicked off the meeting with a family caregiver overview.

Notable new word “learned helplessness” from Matt Golden.
