Linda:  Bruce, you’ve finally made the switch to Apple, you’ve gone on Facebook and Twitter, now don’t you think it’s time you got rid of your desk calendar?

Bruce: I’m not getting rid of my desk calendar!

Linda:  You do realize how much more efficient an online/smart phone calendar is, don’t you?

Bruce: I’m not getting rid of my desk calendar!

Linda:  Look, since you refuse to get an iPhone and have a Blackberry, they have an app that is really easy to use. It will sync up with your phone and calendar on your computer easily.

Bruce: I’m not getting rid of my desk calendar!  What is an “app?”

Linda:  Haven’t you ever wanted to check your schedule or make an appointment “on the spot” when you’re not sitting at your desk?

Bruce: I’m not getting rid of my desk calendar! What’s “sync?”

Linda:  Bruce, you have come along so well.  Remember when you resisted learning Twitter?  Now, you tweet like crazy.  Please, when we have appointments to make, it’s really a hassle always having to wait for you to get home and check your appointment book!

Bruce: I’m not getting rid of my desk calendar!

Linda:  You did get rid of your 8-track, your old TV’s — heck you even got a Blu-Ray player recently, didn’t you?  Do it for me, please?

Bruce: I’m not getting rid of my desk calendar!

Linda: Sigh….
