Daan introduced his non-invasive sleep sweat monitoring system, Q Strip, which measures nocturnal perspiration. He is designing a product for other researchers to be able to take advantage of this technology.
Benjamin discussed initiatives at Koelsch Innovation Lab, including virtual reality for seniors and a communication platform for senior living communities.
Mandy presented Mentia’s virtual environment for dementia patients to improve daily living skills.
Mary Furlong highlighted Get Set Up’s accelerator program and the importance of government funding for aging innovations.
The session concluded with Liz Miller sharing her book about her father’s journey that they wrote together called “You Can’t Do That! The Story of an Amish Deacon’s Son Who Left the Fold and Became a Doctor.”
