Ending Well with Ivor Williams, Tracy Wheeler, Kimberly Whiter, Andrea Grech, Esther Cardenas Pipoly
This episode focused on Ending Well with the Executive Director of End Well, her advisor and other experts in this field.
Ivor Williams discussed the rise of “death tech” and the challenges of advanced care planning.
Kimberly Whiter introduced a guide for millennial caregivers.
Tracy Wheeler highlighted End Well’s mission to change cultural conversations around death and dying.
One of their big projects right now is with the Norman Lear Center Hollywood Health and Society at USC Annenberg School of Journalism. They are getting end of life and related content in front of content creators in Hollywood to see if they can begin shifting the narrative that people are seeing on television, because data shows that a lot of healthcare information is picked up both accurately and inaccurately from television.
Andrea Grech shared her experiences with hospice care, emphasizing the importance of medical power of attorney and individualized care plans.
Esther Cardenas Pipoli discussed her concierge grief counseling services for employees.
The discussion underscored the need for open conversations about end-of-life care and the importance of planning and support for caregivers.
