CES 2025 Highlights AgeTech Atlanta

Our eighth CES 2025 Highlights show. This time we featured AgeTech Atlanta with its co-Founder Jeff Gray and two exhibitors from the AgeTech Pavilion in the Venetian at CES.

Our discussions began with an overview of AgeTech Atlanta from Jeff followed with a discussion about AgeTech ventures that don’t make it. Jeff had several very useful things to say about that.

“Early stage founders in our space tend to be story led ventures with lots of passion and maybe not enough research into the problem to be able to make a go.”

‘Deep, deep, deep discovery with the customer is needed to really have a feeling that one is that you’re solving a monster problem, and two, that you can find somebody who will pay you to solve that monster problem.’

You tend to believe that you’ve solved the problem for yourself that represents millions of other people, and it just tends not to be true. And I will say of the two of those things, just so one is, are you solving a big enough problem? And then you still have to find a payer, right? You still have to think, well, who is going to pay for me to solve this?

‘And I just say, too many ventures don’t spend enough time there, despite having brilliant ideas and brilliant founders, and I will say, I feel that the pre seed capital is harder to access the bar. Or what those investors in those pre seed rounds want to see has been raised. They want to see more evidence of those two points I just brought up. Right? So do you have a really good thesis around what the problem is and who will pay you to solve it? And does that meet a sanity test, or you have some research, or maybe even some letters of intent that would show you have people ready to buy the services, especially if it’s a B to B kind of a product.’

Erika Tyburski shared Sanguina Inc’s background and offerings of AnemoCheck Home, a home test kit with an FDA approved pin prick for anemia monitoring and Ruby which is a digital app in beta covering hydration, menstrual tracking, circulation and anemia from a non-invasive-video-of your nail beds.
