But, you didn’t say what you think? Be honest (nah, just say you like it…lol).

I believe what I think was subtlety embedded in my comment, Bruce ;)

  • David W.

After all I’ve been reading about radiation and cell phone use, I am concerned. Am I paranoid, or just using good sense?

    • http://www.brucesallan.com Bruce Sallan

      You’re paranoid! Lol…Thanks Professor Weber!

Microwave and other electro-magnetic (EM) emissions are a fact of modern life. In urban areas, we are bombarded with these types of radiation from numerous sources. Even rural areas are home to cell phone transmission towers, communications dishes, etc.

There have been competing studies on the subject, with the vast majority indicating that cell phones pose no threat to human health. Although a few raise concerns about increased cancer risks, the actual data leads to the overwhelming conclusion that these fears are unfounded. Most concerns focus on cell phones placed in proximity to the side of the brain. Yet increases in heat from cell phone radiation is tiny compared to even sunlight on a summer day, and radiation effects do not appear to be strong enough to actually alter cell structures within the skull.

Practically speaking, moderate use of cell phones should not cause any harm. If you want to be on the super-safe side and minimize any potential risk, you can use headphones to place the cell phone itself a good distance away from your head… and try not to use the cell phone 24/7 – it will give your ears a needed break as well!

We are so lucky and appreciative to have such a tech wiz on the BTT Team. We each bring such different skill-sets. Thanks for this terrific response to David’s comment, Ray!

Thank you all for the warm greetings, and comments. I’m pleased to be on board, but as you are, sad to see my old student Aaron taking a break from what has been a wonderful job well done, so far. I’m looking forward to seeing what else he dose, and of course will be happy to step aside if he ever decides to come back. On a side note, this strip was inspired by the stories ER and CELL, both by Stephen King. Tech horror is fun. What’s your favorite Tech related fiction?

      Opps… UR not ER.

Lucky you John – and funny comment!

Thanks David. We’re very pleased to have Christopher aboard. Watch for his forthcoming bio in our “Family” section with some of his other art and “his story!” Very impressive.

  • Tom Violand

Practical use technology is now coming so hard and fast for everybody with a smart phone it is hard to stay on top wave for us old guys who don’t hang out at the Apple Store. Good job, Christopher, you got some big shoes to fill from your former student…

    Best to all once again!
